Seriously! I feel like New Year’s 2016 was just a few days ago and now it’s 2017. Does time have no sense of patience? My children are growing entirely too fast and I never have enough time in the day as it is without speeding things up. Oh well! Father Time

I’ll get over it. I always do.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. They always sound nice and I’ve tried to make them in the past but in the end, I forget about them within a few weeks. I have a terrible memory as it is, so it’s just one more thing to try to remember. Though I suppose my vow to get this holiday weight off could be called a resolution. I went to spin last night, but was thwarted in my attempt at exercise this morning by my son. Can’t get to cross-training with an ill child at home–well, some days I can. Just not today. Grrr!

Particular Attachments is up to Chapter 14. I haven’t decided a definitive length yet. I suppose it depends on how the story progresses. I know where I want it to go, but not whether I will use my characteristic  30 chapters to tell it.

Don’t miss Jane in January this month at Austen Variations! I have no idea what I’m going to do, but hopefully, I’ll figure it out soon!!! If you have a suggestion, then feel free to put it in the comments below. I’m always open to suggestions 😉

A few of us also have something special we’re planning on unveiling in February near Valentine’s day at  Austen Variations as well, so look out for that, too!

The expat has one more post on Venice left, and then she needs to find somewhere to travel!

Gotta get back to writing, but I’d love to hear if you made any New Year’s resolutions this year. If you did and you can share (TMI not accepted! 😉  ) then please do!

No, I gave up on New Year’s resolutions because I never seem to hold to them. However, if I set it in writing, like the 2016 Goodreads Challenge, I found I stuck to it. When I accepted that challenge last year, I vowed to write reviews for each book I read. It was about time too as all you wonderful authors deserve recognition for providing me/us with many hours of great enjoyment. So I accepted this year’s challenge as well.

So was this your first spin class? Do you like it? I hate missing my workout classes as I find I don’t feel as energetic as I do when I go. I go 4x a week (Monday’s class is a spin broken up with handheld weights, Tuesday’s is piloga a cross between pilates and yoga, Wed’s is P90x again with cardio and handheld weights, and Friday is circuit with handheld weights). Hope your son is better and you are back to working out again soon.

Looking forward to your final post on Venice!

    1. No, not my first spin class. I look like a die-hard cyclist when I walk in. My husband is really into biking, so I stole a pair of his bike shorts and he bought me cycling shoes. I like that I sweat like crazy during spin more than I like spin. I also love the instructor. She is a lot of fun, even though she will make you hurt! I tend to swim on Mondays, when I don’t coach on Tuesday nights I go to spin, Wednesday, when I can get to it, I swim early in the morning and then do Total Body (like an hour of cross-training/intervals/tabatas/TRX) after. On Thursdays, I swim and sometimes do spin as well, and on Friday, I do spin. Sometimes the weeks change up and the Friday spin is a Friday HIT class. Kids and real life sometimes prevents me from getting to everything. I mostly do the other exercise because I find it helps my swimming.

I like your New Year’s resolution of sorts. We love when readers love our books so much they put it in a review. It’s a wonderful present 🙂 Thanks, Carole!
